Psychologist Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, the Psychologist will know or be able to do the following as a result of having taken this course...

-Identify one cause of homophobia.
-Discuss a six-stage model for gender identity.
-List tools in defining identity achievement.
-Describe feelings a client might experience during the exploration of their sexual orientation.
-Discuss ways regarding mental health promotion for LGBTQ youth.
-Explain two factors in ensuring mental and behavioral health of LGBTQ youth.
-Identify negative behaviors LGBTQ clients may exhibit.

The instructional level of this course is introductory, intermediate, or advanced depending on the learners clinical area of expertise.
