Course Learning Objectives/Outcomes

By the end of the course, the Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist will be able to:
-Name six categories listed in Schoener’s typology of abuse.
-Name one reason females are more vulnerable to therapeutic sexual abuse according to Penford.
-Name two types of therapist-patient relationships that need to be balanced regarding supportive versus excessive therapeutic relationships.
-Explain who else can be involved in a sexual harassment lawsuit besides the person harassed.
